Major predictors of long-term adverse outcomes after presentation with myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation
Abstract
In a prospective survey STIMUL (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction in Ukraine and Its Mortality Rate) conducted 1103 patients with acute coronary syndromes with ST segment elevation. 872 pts were discharged from the hospital with myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation. Older age, higher Killip class, sudden cardiac arrest with resuscitation, unavailable of reperfusion therapy, diabetes mellitus and signs of congestive heart failure have been identified as the most important independent predictors of two-years mortality.
