Abstract

The features of heart rate variability in patients with chronic heart failure, depending on the representation of the components of the metabolic syndrome have been analyzed. The study involved 46 male patients with chronic heart failure (of II–III functional classes due to nyha), with postinfarction cardiosclerosis and sinus rhythm. Depending on the components of ms, the patients were divided into 3 groups: group I (n = 15), patients without ms; group II (n = 16), patients with various combinations of dyslipidemia and abdominal obesity, hypertension and hypertriglyceridemia; group III (n = 15) patients with various combinations of dyslipidemia and diabetes of type 2 with abdominal obesity, hypertension and hypertriglyceridemia.during the analysis, the heart rate variability was performed by daily ECG monitoring. It was found out that in patients with chronic heart failure without ms, the reduction of total heart rate variability is accompanied by the tonus reduction of not only parasympathetic, but as well as of the sympathetic division of the vegetative nervous system, followed by the change of their ratios in favor of the latter. The combination of chronic heart failure with severe manifestations of ms is accompanied by the sharp reduction of total variability of heart rate, especially within the low-frequency spectrum, which complicates the interpretation of the received data, and therefore requires a comprehensive approach in determining the nature of variability of heart rate disorder.
