Assessment of nitrogen oxide concentration in blood as a marker of the gestational endothelial dysfunction

Abstract

The article is devoted to determining the concentration of nitric oxide in the blood of pregnant women with fetal loss syndrome and without reproductive loss. The statistical processing of the data was performed in Excel 2010. After preliminary determination of concentration of nitrous compounds in tap water, we evaluated the content of active metabolites of nitric oxide in serum according to the method proposed by P. P. Golikov and N.Yu. Nikolaeva. It was found that the average concentration of nitric oxide in the blood serum of pregnant women with fetal loss syndrome is lower than in the blood serum of pregnant women without reproductive losses. For drug correction was appointed nitric oxide donor – syrup L-arginine aspartate – 5 ml 3 times a day for 14 days. After the therapy, the indices of the average concentration of nitric oxide almost doubled, which makes it possible to prescribe the drug to pregnant women with fetal loss syndrome for the prevention of obstetric complications associated with endothelial dysfunction.
